PGWI-CETRA Language Solutions Partnership

PGWI would like to thank our partner CETRA Language Solutions for their support for the Cameroon Project! They have raised over $6,000 to provide a community in Cameroon with a source of clean water, and to educate and empower the people of the community to successfully maintain their water system. PGWI partnering with Meta Quality of Life Foundation (MQLIF)- Cameroon Partner, and Penn Engineers without Borders (PennEWB) are working on a phased plan for concentrating these efforts and providing additional training in the Bome Valley where the existing water system is to be rehabilitated and expanded. The 5th Annual PGWI Conference: April 3, 2012

PGWI held its 5th annual Conference at the University of Pennsylvania entitled Measures of Success: Performance Indicators for Drinking Water Projects in the Developing World. The conference was attended by over 100 experts and students! Thank you to all the speakers, volunteers, attendees and members of PGWI for making the conference a success!
6th World Water Forum
March 12-17th, Marseille France
- Stanley Laskowski traveled with students from University of Pennsylvania Master of Environmental Studies students to join the largest week long Water Conference supported by the World Water Council in Marseille, France.
- Stanley presented his research PERFORMANCE INDICATORS FOR WATER AND SANITATION PROJECTS IN THE DEVELOPING WORLD:A LIMITED SURVEY OF CURRENT PRACTICES during UNESCAP session. Report available soon!!
- Stan and the students were also involved with the Grass Roots organizations including Women Initiative Program and Youth. The report presents the findings of a survey of organizations involved in drinking water and sanitation projects in the developing world. Thanks to all the volunteers that helped with this report.

Our 5 Year Annual Report!
On November 6th 2011, PGWI will Celebrate 5 years of working towards clean water and sanitation in the developing world. PGWI Member Nalat Phanit has graciously put together a comprehensive report of the work that PGWI and its network members have done over the past five years entitled Philadelphia Heroes in the Global Fight for Clean Water and Sanitation. We very much thank all who have contributed to our five years of work!
